As Beth El and Huggim deepen their connection, we need to develop a multi-year curriculum that will provide a framework for discussions and enable meaningful connection between the American and Israeli teens. The curriculum also needs to help prepare students for their face-to-face mifgashim (encounters). OREN is prepared to help write a curriculum that will center around 4 peulot a year in which students in Sudbury and Haifa will jointly address an issue, text, or question and use their study as a basis for engaging in conversations and building a relationship with one another. We hope that the relationships that develop will lead to students communicating with one another outside the curricular framework.
